A celebration of sport, community, and summer in the Northeast, the NEFHC Classic Horse Show returns as one of the season’s most anticipated equestrian gatherings. Hosted by the Northeast Friesian Horse Council, the Classic blends top-level competition with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that invites exhibitors and spectators alike to linger, connect, and enjoy the rhythm of the show grounds.

Set against the pastoral backdrop of the Deerfield Fairgrounds, this multi-day event showcases the beauty and versatility of Friesian horses, part-bred Friesians, and select open-breed divisions. From morning performances to evening social moments, the NEFHC Classic is as much about the experience as it is the ribbons.

As a club, NEFHC strive to encourage membership to enjoy their beautiful Friesian Horses and engage in activities in which to promote the Friesian Breed. A chapter of the FHANA (Friesian Horse Association of North America) a sister registry of the original FPS located in Holland, of which we adopt Friesian standards from. As a dedicated membership, NEFHC has hosted events over the years ranging from natural horsemanship clinics, trail rides, lesson programs, dressage and driving clinics and keur clinics, just to name few. From these fun filled events, membership continues to enjoy their learned talents either on their own at home or show them through our very popular annual Friesian Horse Show.

The 2026 NEFHC Classic Horse Show takes place at the Deerfield Fairgrounds, 34 Stage Rd, Deerfield, NH 03037.

Yes, the NEFHC Classic Horse Show is a USEF sanctioned show, the following members must complete SafeSport.
Competing members: Any member 18 years or older, including amateur, professional, and junior members who are 18+
Owners: Owners with an annual, three-year, or lifetime membership
Officials and staff: Licensed officials, Chefs d'Equipe, staff, board members, and competition management.
Professionals: Coaches, human physios, farriers, trainers, and veterinarians.
Selectors: Selectors hired or contracted by USEF.
The NEFHC Classic Horse Show offers a wide range of divisions including: Park Saddle, Park Harness, English Pleasure, English Pleasure Driving, Classic Pleasure, Classic Pleasure Driving, Hunterseat, Western, Equitation, Roadster, Roadhack, Carriage Driving, Dressage, Driven Dressage, and Academy.
Please note the NEFHC Classic Horse Show does not offer jumping.
