For more than half a century, a cherished tradition has quietly unfolded at the University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm, an invitation to take home a piece of living heritage.
Since 1971, the farm has offered an annual Morgan horse raffle, a meaningful fundraiser that has captured the imagination of enthusiasts across the country. More than a drawing, it is a thoughtful and deliberate process, one rooted in the same care and consideration as placing any exceptional horse. Five tickets are selected, and the eventual recipient is carefully vetted to ensure the right partnership, with references from veterinarians, farriers, trainers, and stables all considered. The result is not simply a winner, but a well-matched home.
