DENNY EMERSON CLINIC

JUNE 27 - 28, 2026

A Life of Gold, Grace, and Horsemanship

Few names in American equestrian sport carry the quiet distinction of Denny Emerson. international gold medalist in eventing—and uniquely, a former spelling bee champion—Emerson embodies both athletic brilliance and intellectual depth. Named Rider of the Year by the United States Eventing Association in 1972, he later stood atop the podium as a member of the U.S. Three-Day Eventing Team at the 1974 World Championships.

Today, his legacy continues not only in the saddle, but in the wisdom he shares as a sought-after clinician, trainer, and regular contributor to The Chronicle of the Horse. Alongside his wife, May, he welcomes riders to Tamarack Hill Farm in Vermont and Southern Pines—where tradition, horsemanship, and thoughtful instruction remain timeless pursuits.
